ExCeL London Strengthens Its Team With Two New Event Managers

ExCeL London - July 2005 - In the last couple of months ExCeL London has recruited two new Event Managers to further strengthen its Event Management team.

Andrew Brett joined ExCeL London from Earls Court & Olympia, where he had been working for four years as an Events Manager. Andrew worked on exhibitions such as the London Book Fair, The Ideal Home Show and the London Boat Show. Prior to working at Earls Court, Andrew was an Assistant Event Manager at Alexandra Palace for three years.

Commenting on his move to ExCeL London, Andrew Brett said: "I am delighted to have joined ExCeL London, especially at such an exciting time, with the likes of the Motor Show and some of the Olympics 2012 events taking place here. I hope that my previous venue experience and knowledge of the industry and the needs of the organisers can help ExCeL London achieve all of its future goals, whilst providing outstanding customer service to all of the events that are held at the venue."

Adam Brooke studied Hotel Management before spending three years travelling round Europe and America. Brooke then joined the Gallagher Estate (South Africa) as an Event Co-ordinator and was later promoted to Exhibitions Consultant, dealing with the sales and co-ordination of all exhibitions at the Gallagher Estate. After two years, Adam moved to Sales of Corporate Events as well as the sales and co-ordination of all Special Events. Adam left South Africa in January this year and emigrated to London.

Talking about joining ExCeL London, Adam Brooke said: "Joining the ExCeL London team is a great move for my career. ExCeL London is without doubt London's premier venue and I look forward to working in this young and vibrant team and company."

Faith Manning, who has been at ExCeL London for four years has also recently been promoted to Senior Event Manager. Faith won Venue/contractor employee of the year at the aeo Awards 2004.
